Argington, a company that makes modern furniture for kids, has some products that are fantastic. Take, for instance, this Fuji toy box. It’s a box/bench combined with a cut out for a books (or other treasures). While the box part seems to hold tons of stuff, you can use the top as a play surface.
Then, as your child grows, he can cover the top of the Fuji toy box with a cushion and use it as a bench. Maybe even a bed side table? Talk about versatility.
Oh, and with its casters on, it can easily roll from room to room. As an added benefit, the toy box includes slow-closing safety hinges that stop the lid from slapping shut quickly. Very good thought!
