I’m a lucky girl. My husband, although he has many faults, has excellent taste in jewelry. I’ve heard from several friends who say their husbands are clueless when it comes to picking out jewelry, but my husband has the uncanny ability to walk into a jewelry store and know exactly what I’d love.
Our budget doesn’t allow for very many purchases of jewelry, but I can honestly say I adore everything he’s ever picked out for me. And, if we ever win the lottery someday, I’m sure I will have a very impressive collection of gems for every occasion.
My current jewelry box is looking a bit battered because I’ve had it for several years and we tend to be very hard on our stuff whenever we move. So, I’ve been browsing online for different storage solutions.
Although I don’t actually own this jewelry tree from Target, I am in love with the design. I think it would be a beautiful way to keep my favorite necklaces on display. Because, even though I’m a work at home mom who barely makes it out of her jammies some days, I have several gorgeous necklaces that deserve to be shown off until I manage to go someplace special enough to wear them to.
My own concern is that I have a cat who loves to cause trouble and I’m thinking she’d see a trio of dangling charms hanging off a shiny metal tree as a fun new toy for her to play with.
How do you keep your jewelry organized? Do you have a special jewelry box or do you prefer modern solutions like the jewelry tree? If you have daughters, how do you make sure they stay away from your more valuable pieces?
